Personality and Style

Im a shopping addict and I think I've established that pretty much with everyone who knows me..
However, I've noticed as the years go by, with a little help from friends and a lot of help from the numerous clothes and cuts on the runways due to my job, my sense for picking things up has changed. Maybe its an age thing, or maybe its an environment thing, does anyone feel that their personal style has changed over the years? That maybe mentally restrictions have broken down?

I was never clueless about fashion, having devoured every single magazine that was allowed to the country but some only a watered down simplistic style came down to the wardrobe. As I began working a stylist I began noticing little gems that no one would give a second glance or buying outrageous things such as my Melissa Vivienne Westwood shoes which I absolutely adore!!

The point being is that everyone has a particular style don't they?.. A thing you can pick out in a store thats very YOU, but since a while I've become this chameleon where I'm willing to try any style and I love being that person, where I maybe preppy one day and maybe Parsienne chic another. My challenge to you is this.. Break out of your comfort zone, try on that outrageous sequinned shift you've been eyeing or even try a new make-up look.

I love the feeling that I get as I try on a "new" look, maybe a new lip tint or a new lipstick or even wearing my trusted leggings with a twist. You needn't buy another wardrobe of new styles, but try on something you usually wouldn't and you might be surprised!

Because while I may love my Audrey Hepburn/ Blair Waldorf looks i realise now that just may sometimes I want a little bit of Beyonce/Serena Van Der Woodsen to come out and play :)

Me, Myself and Fashion..

As I rediscovered blogging, all though my friend Sookie(SS), I started to think what I would write about. My life seems pretty mundane and Im not honest or courageous enough to put things out there.. However I have always loved fashion. Its something that has been close to me my entire life. I read fashion magazines long before it was my age too, and lusted and aimed to be a part of the fashion world. How I got suckered into public relations to do my masters was beyond me but it might have had to do with the insecurity that maybe I wasn't good enough or creative enough. I worked in PR for only a month before I realised my dream was to work in a fashion magazine. I am eternally grateful to have gotten my job when I know I didnt not have prior experience and where there were plenty of other qualified candidates. I yet dont know the reason behind why I was chosen, but after two years I know I've found my calling.

Meandering from the subject at hand, which is fashion. I hope that my blog will be a mix of things that I love, adore and lust after. This is purely my view point and many of you may disagree.. So expect from me doses of fashion, books, technology and entertainment!

As many of my friends-- yes all of you call me Khabri Bhabhi( meaning a gossip queen?!) I promise you this will not be a gossip blog. Just a blog to vent, discuss and tell you things that I feel are important to me..
